Saw a bicycle chained to a post. The sign above said no peddling. I guess the guy was a good law abiding citizen, so he stopped peddling his bicycle when he saw the sign.

I feel that Kellie should get married, stay happily married for 38 years, work through her marital problems day after day, year after year, then that will give her the right as well as the knowledge to preach to me about marriage and family.
 Someone who worked for the Copeland's at some point in time, verified on my blog that this will be Kellie's 3rd divorce. 3rd divorce and by my count 5th child from a broken home. The Copeland's are great at telling me what I should do and how to do it, but they seem to have another standard for themselves. Surge Protector

08/21/14 Small thunder storm in N. Jackson. Lightning hit our house. shut off power to 2 rooms of the house. Luckily had the TV hooked up to a power strip surge protector. The surge protector died. TV SURVIVES!!!!! YEAH!!!!!

Vintage Typewriters

These bring back a lot of memories. I can remember my parents, who were school teachers, spending hours typing on machines like these. You have to be of a certain age to have any memory of terms such as, ribbon, carbon paper, and white-out. I can still remember the 'ding' sound that indicated you were coming to the end of the line. The 'click click' and sliding sound of the carriage return, and the 'tapping' sound of the keystrokes as they hit the carriage. I think these could be made to work with a little effort to get them into working

order, however, I'm sure they will remain still and quite, just relics of a bygone era.

Reminds me of the 60's

When I first saw this item my mind went back to my childhood. I can vividly remember traveling on what seemed like endless trips in our family "boat". Actually it was a Buick LeSabre 1963. To a kid the interior seemed as big as a room in the house. At the time I did not realize how frugal(cheap) my parents were. Looking back I can see many lessons they taught me on how to save money. One was an item very much like this one, which is called an Auto Beverage Warmer. We always had one on our car for long trips. Neither my mother nor my father could survive for more than a few hours without drinking a cup of coffee. They also grew up in a time, the Great Depression, where they had to conserve every way the could to survive. They rarely purchased coffee, at restaurants or convenience stores like we do today. They packed coffee, cups, spoons, sugar, creamer, and whatever items they needed to make their own as the traveled, with the help of their 1960's era water warmer.
